Event Description

Hear from survivor, Robyn Howarth, as she recounts the infamous Faraday kidnapping and talks about her new memoir.

In 1972, six children and a teacher were abducted from Faraday Primary School in rural Victoria. Robyn Howarth was one of abducted children. Her newly published memoir, 'Faraday – a Community Rediscovered' recounts her experience and follows the kidnapping from the broader perspective of the Faraday community.

Robyn, who was 10 years old at that time, tells the story of her life on the farm, that heinous event and the aftermath in the long road for justice. Through the lens of childhood trauma, Robyn recounts the effects the kidnapping had on herself and her family.
