Exploring Nature with your Phone

Event Description

Do you sometimes wonder what bird is singing in your garden, what plant is growing along the creek, or what frog is croaking in the pond? You can find out with the touch of a button!

In this exciting and informative session, we'll show you some of our favourite free smartphone apps for identifying different plants and animals. We'll show you how to download and install these apps, and (weather permitting) we'll test them out in the Melton Library Children’s Garden.

Notes & Requirements

For the best experience, you will need a smartphone that runs Android 6 (for Android users) or iOS 16 (for iPhone users) or newer. Please also bring a hat and sunscreen.
