Event Description

Discover rich heritage and culture at our monthly History Through Film sessions.

This month's featured film is 'Palimpsest of the Africa Museum'. This thought-provoking documentary follows the 2013 renovation of the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Brussels (Belgium). It's a complex process, with more than just the cabinetry to be updated. The process of decolonisation leads to heated discussions between museum staff and the experts employed to advise on the process.

Come along to watch this intriguing documentary and find out more. After the session, we can also show you how to stream even more documentaries and films from home using your library card, absolutely free.
