The Wobbly Wallaby just can’t hop in a straight line, no matter how hard she tries! She seems to always get distracted, and is often running late. She just doesn’t do things the way the other wallabies do. Through an unlikely friendship with a bandicoot, the Wobbly Wallaby discovers the strengths in her wobbly nature and how, sometimes, being a bit different can be just what‘s needed to catch the worm!
Come along to this very special Storytime based on the book 'The Wobbly Wallaby and the Absolute Bandicoot' by Prema Nishan. Watch, listen and dance along as this story comes alive with puppets and live music by Jemma Armstrong from Jammin' with Jem.
Jemma Armstrong is a Brunswick-based children's performer and early childhood music specialist, best known as the voice and puppeteer behind Hootabelle on ABC Kids' 'Giggle & Hoot'. Jemma has ADHD, and deeply understands the emotional, cognitive and social challenges that come with having a different sort of brain. She believes that music and story can have a huge impact on a child's sense of self and wellbeing, and feels driven to use her skills in a way that supports children in feeling empowered to live authentically, and lovingly celebrate each other's differences.
