Need some inspiration? Get started in this FREE 4-week preparation course with award-winning author, Emily Bitto. Learn and build on your skills each week with fun writing exercises and activities. Explore key elements including genre, story development, character formation, writing structure and more.
Emily Bitto has a Masters in Literary Studies, a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Melbourne, and has been teaching for over a decade. Her writing has appeared in various publications, including 'Meanjin', 'Island', 'HEAT', 'The Monthly', 'The Age', 'The Saturday Paper', 'Sydney Morning Herald' and 'The Big Issue fiction edition'. The manuscript of her debut novel, 'The Strays' was shortlisted for the 2013 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award, and the published novel went on to win the 2015 Stella Prize. Emily is an obsessive reader, music fan, cook and dog-carer. She also co-owns and runs Carlton wine-bar, Heartattack and Vine.
