Book Week Movie Marathon: Romulus, My Father

Sometimes the movie IS better than the book! Celebrate Book Week at the library, where we'll be showing some of our favourite films based on books.

Based on Raimond Gaita's critically acclaimed memoir, 'Romulus, My Father', tells the story of Romulus, a post-World War II Yugoslavian immigrant to Australia, and his struggle to bring up his son, Raimond, in an isolated shack in the Victorian bush. For Raimond, life is complicated, with his mother often absent and neglectful due to mental illness. This is a story of impossible love and the unbreakable bond between father and son.
