Event Description

Discover rich heritage and culture at our monthly History Through Film sessions.

This month, hear the extraordinary tale of 70's pop star, Dean Reed, in the documentary-film, 'Red Elvis: The Cold War Cowboy'

Dean Reed packed out stadiums and inspired thousands with his music and his activism, until he was found drowned in a lake in East Berlin in 1986. As well as music, Dean's story is one of global rebellion, rivalry, and politics in a wild and changing world.

Enjoy a free screening in the comfort of Melton Library. After the session, we can also show you how to stream even more documentaries and films from home using your library card, absolutely free.
