Event Description

A simple remark from a family member led Patrica McQueen to uncover a tragic and fascinating story.

She discovered that her great-grandfather killed three of his own children in the 1890s.

Looking beyond the violence, Patrica was able to glimpse the life of her great-grandmother who migrated from Ireland at age eighteen, married twice, survived the great depression of the 1890s, and gave birth to twelve children.

Her life was so much more than her husband’s terrible deed.

Come along to hear more about Patricia's findings and how she uncovered them.
