Event Description
Have you ever wanted to explore old maps and plans to see how our landscape has changed over time?
The Public Record Office Victoria's (PROV) Map Warper makes finding and reading historic maps and plans easy! Join this session to learn how the Map Warper can help your research.
The PROV Map Warper is a tool for digitally aligning, or 'rectifying', historical maps and plans to match today's more precise maps. Use it to browse already rectified maps or assist PROV by aligning a map.
This session will be led by Asa Letourneau who has been working at PROV for 20 years across exhibitions, public programs, and digital projects. He is passionate about making archives easy to use.
