Sensory-Friendly Craft

This session is designed to support children who are neurodivergent or who experience sensory sensitivities.

Join us for a calm, sensory friendly craft activity, where kids can make their own sensory bottle. Kids can decorate the bottle, choose their favourite colours, add glitter, pom poms, and beads to create their personalised soothing tool, perfect for helping to calm, focus and regulate big feelings.

A quiet sensory zone will be available, with sensory tools provided. We also encourage families to bring any tools or noise cancelling headphones that work best for their child.

To support a comfortable environment, this is a small-group session with a maximum of 10 participants.

A social story will be shared with families after booking to help children prepare for their visit and know what to expect at the library. Parents and carers are required to stay for the duration of the session, an opportunity for you to network and connect with others.
