Event Description

Learn the art of bobbin lacemaking with Lindy de Wijn from the Victorian Branch of the Australian Lace Guild.

A centuries-old textile art, Bobbin lacemaking creates intricate patterns by twisting and crossing dozens of threads by hand, held into place by pins. Bobbin lace can be used in many creative projects, adding whimsy and artistry to clothing, homewares and craft projects!

Join us at Melton City Libraries to learn about the basics of this craft and leave with the skills to create your own bracelet or bookmark.

This beginner-friendly program is aimed at 16+ years.
