Event Description

Suffragette (2015, 103 mins) tracks the foot soldiers from a forgotten movement, women who were forced underground to pursue a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State. These working women were willing to lose everything in their fight for equality - their jobs, their homes, their children and their lives. The story of their struggle for dignity is both heart-breaking and inspirational.
"a valuable, vital film about how human rights are won" ~ The Guardian
