Event Description

Ben's Book Club is an online book club available exclusively to Australian and New Zealand libraries, hosted by best-selling author Ben Hobson.

Each month, Ben will choose a new book for our discussion, available with no waiting or holds thanks to the Libby app! All you need is a library card to log in to the Libby app and download this month's chosen title for your smartphone or tablet.

Our first book is 'The Cane' by Maryrose Cuskelly. In the northern-Queensland town of Quala, Barbara McClymont walks the cane fields searching for her sixteen-year-old daughter, Janet, who has been missing for weeks. The Police have no leads. The people of Quala are divided by dread and distrust. But the sugar crush is underway and the cane must be burned.
