Event Description

Kick off the Melton City Libraries' Heritage Festival in style with our launch celebration!

Local band Drongo and the Crow will provide some tunes while you get a taster of the exciting programme the Heritage Festival has to offer in 2024.

Melton Library is proud to be the new home of the Partners of Veterans Association's 'Love, Peace, and Unity' Quilt. Hear from the local community that poured their love and pride into this remarkable piece of art and remembrance, while marvelling at the intricate details in the quilt's new display space.

Preview our upcoming programs such as the 'Bonegilla: Migrants' Journey' Audio Visual experience and Houdini illusionist experience 'Nine and a half things you did not know about Harry Houdini.'

This Heritage Festival Celebration will also be the launch of our exciting new 'Collecting Family Cookbooks' program. Throughout the year we will be assisting community members to digitise their family recipes and making them a part of Melton Library's permanent collection.

Come along to the library to celebrate all things Heritage Festival. We will have light food and refreshments to enjoy too!
