Journeys of Hope: Refugee Narratives Explored

In acknowledgement and celebration of Refugee Week 2024, join us to hear stories of hope from our community. Celebrate our diversity and relationships through an interview panel presentation, performances and a community lunch.

Melton Young Citizen of the Year Comfort Kennedy will host a panel discussion featuring community members Mir Kohistani, Nanchock Santino and Nuang Yoe, as they share their experience and journeys. This will be followed by a Dance Performance from Club Iteka, a live performance from Singer-Songwriter Nuang Yoe, and a community lunch.

This event will be a place to share stories of refugee journeys and come together as a community to embrace and celebrate the values, experiences and relationships we share.

Refugee Week is an annual celebration, informing the public about refugees and celebrating their contributions. In partnership with Djerriwarrh Community and Education Services, this event is centred on community, and brought to you by our community.
