Australian Poetry Slam: Melton Heat

National Finals will be held at Sydney Opera House for a grand prize worth $20,000, including publishing opportunities and gigs from Byron to Bali and beyond.

The Melton Heat will be hosted by creative mentor, Andi Stewart. A four-time Australian poetry slam finalist and two time runner-up, Andi founded Hobart’s WhamBamSilverSlam! and ROWDY before moving to Victoria in 2020. Andi believes that anyone can be a poet - a belief he brings to all his workshops at libraries, high schools and even living rooms.

All ages are welcome to enter and attend Australian Poetry Slam, however children under 12 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
