This Seniors Festival, we're bringing history to life through Virtual Reality at the library!
The past can feel very remote, but with the magic of new technologies, we can bring it closer than ever.
Experience a raid over Berlin in 1943 from inside the cockpit as BBC War reporter Wynford Vaughan Thomas recounts his experience. Observe World War One from the point of view of a South Asian soldier fighting for the British Empire. Hear the captivating stories of the battlefield as you are joined by a returning soldier, and share the emotional experience of the return home.
All this is possible from the comfort of the library through Virtual Reality. Sit back, relax and explore history through new tech!
