Event Description

As part of the Melton Learning Festival, celebrate National Wattle Day with the Friends of the Melton Botanic Garden.

This outdoor workshop combines science, creativity and mindfulness to explore the delights of wattles. We will wander along Acacia Walk, using all of our senses to capture the scents, colours and textures of this spectacular Australian native on our journal pages.
There's no need to be an artist or scientist to enjoy the benefits of nature journaling, and at the end of your journey, take home your completed pages, as well as a handout on nature journaling and ways of being more mindful in your everyday life.
