Sensory-Friendly Craft Session

Event Description
This session is designed to support children who are neurodivergent or who experience sensory sensitivities.
Join us for a calm, sensory- friendly craft activity, using colourful Sand. Kids can create a colourful and textured sand art piece choosing from a template provided or they can let their imagination run wild and create a unique and colourful art piece. This craft is perfect to calm, focus and engage in mindfulness practices.
A quiet sensory zone will be available, with sensory tools provided. We also encourage families to bring any tools or noise cancelling headphones that work best for their child.
A social story will be shared with families after booking to help children prepare for their visit and know what to expect at the library. Parents and carers are required to stay for the duration of the session, an opportunity for you to network and connect with others.
