This event is exclusively for people aged between 14 and 25. It becomes challenging for facilitators to keep the group engaged when ages vary beyond this range. We appreciate your understanding. Regardless of the event's age restrictions, children under 12 years must always be accompanied by an adult.
16 Days Of Activism Against Gender Based Violence With Akuch Kuol Anyieth
5:00 PM Thursday 25th November 2021
16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is a global campaign that takes place annually from 25 November to 10 December. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the 16 Days Campaign, which calls for action to put an end to violence against women and girls.
In this special edition of Girl Chat, young people are invited to join us for an open discussion led by Akuch Kuol Anyieth, author of 'South Sudanese Manhood and Family Crisis in the Diaspora', where we'll be exploring and deconstructing cultural beliefs and attitudes towards gender-based violence. Join us to hear from other young people about their stories and share your own experiences in a safe and inclusive space.
