International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is celebrated on 3 December each year.

IDPwD aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disabilities and celebrate their contributions to our communities.

Benjamin Akok is the author of the children's picture book 'Wash Your Hands' which teaches kids the importance of hygiene. He is a former school captain of Melton Secondary College, a chess champion and motivational speaker.

Benjamin's story is one of strength and resilience that will inspire young people to realise their potential.
