Join us to recognise the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), with a special workshop.
Storytelling can take place in many different mediums from spoken word to writing. Graphic storytelling is the art of using images, words, and design to communicate a narrative, message, or idea. It can take many forms, such as comics, graphic novels, animations, video games, infographics, and webtoons.
This workshop facilitated by author/illustrator Jes Layton (she/her, he/him) will focus on the art of graphic storytelling to help get you started on making your own work.
Jes is an author and illustrator currently living and working on Wurundjeri Land. He is the Executive Director of the Emerging Writers’ Festival. Some of his work can be found with SBS, Junkee, Kill Your Darlings, Archer, The Big Issue, Fremantle Press, BlackInc, Pantera Press and Nero Books.
