Event Description

Calling all writers! Did you know that many councils and organisations offer financial grants to support your work?

Led by award-winning author Amra Pajalić, this session will teach you how to prepare and pitch a successful grant application.

In this workshop, you will explore the basics of the grant process, get an understanding of criteria and budgets, and learn how to prepare support material. You'll also learn how to talk to the right people and take on feedback.

Whether you’re just starting out, or an experienced writer looking for practical tips, this workshop will build your confidence in navigating the funding application process.

Amra Pajalić is an award-winning author, editor, and educator whose work draws deeply from her Bosnian heritage and lived experience. She has published nine books including fiction, and non-fiction. Her memoir, 'Things Nobody Knows But Me' was shortlisted for the National Biography Award, and her essays have appeared in The Age, ABC Education, and AEU Magazine.
